The use of wood in the domestic and international construction market is growing rapidly. The timber frame structure retains its basic physical properties for even 600 years if built with the right technology. Prefabricated wooden houses are fully competitive in terms of durability with well-built, traditionally structured houses. Thanks to modern technology, they also have better properties regarding many parameters. Our structures are made of CE-certified Austrian construction raw material, KVH (solid structural timber), which is a lengthened, solid structural beam that is dimensionally stable due to artificial drying and will not be deformed. Through artificial drying the use of chemical wood preservatives can be avoided, so we can create a healthier environment inside the built houses.
CELLULOSE THERMAL INSULATION
Cellulose insulation is made from recycled paper waste, and the energy required to produce it is only a fraction of the energy required to produce conventional insulation. The cellulose insulation material is almost completely recyclable, and it is installed at its final place of use by a completely waste-free, so-called blown technology. When preparing cellulose insulation, the waste paper is sorted during recycling, coarsely shredded, mixed with boric acid, and then finely ground. Boric acid protects cellulose insulation from insects and fungal attacks and makes it resistant to rot and fire. Boric acid is a naturally occurring substance that is used in the food industry in addition to the construction industry. It is used in agriculture for foliar fertilization because boron plays an essential role in the nutrient uptake of plants. Cellulose insulation does not contain substances harmful to health or irritating. Cellulose insulation is a better thermal and acoustic insulation substance than glass or rock wool. Its impregnating thermal insulation properties are further enhanced by the fact that it is guaranteed to fill even the smallest cavities due to the incorporation technology applied. Due to the gap-free nature, the insulation of your home will surely be free of thermal bridging. The high value of the heat storage capacity of cellulose insulation means that it is very difficult for the insulation and the wall to heat up even in summer. The cellulose insulation absorbs moisture, if necessary, and dispenses it again, i.e. it regulates the humidity in the interior space. In addition, it does all this without changing its thermal insulation value.
Fire resistance of cellulose
Cellulose insulation has reliable fire protection properties. It achieved the best rating among combustible insulations: EN 1350-I Class: B2 (non-combustible, withstands open flame for 30 minutes).
VAPOUR BARRIER, VAPOUR CONTROL AND VAPOUR PERMEABLE FILMS
Proper, correct airtightness and moisture management is one of the most important requirements for a modern building, which is achieved with the right technological film systems.
Plaster fibre building board is ideal for automated, factory machining and provides excellent rigidity to our structures. It is statically scalable, has high fire retardant properties, and can be used universally on external and internal walls, both in wet and dry rooms. OSB building board is a common, cost-effective solution for achieving the required rigidity. Formaldehyde-free boards are used. Both plaster fibre and OSB boards have excellent load-bearing capacities: wall mounts intended for general conditions of use can be resolved more easily and safely with them, compared to hollow brick walls. For surfaces designed for high loads (boilers, suspended cabinets), a reinforcement consisting of KVH beams is installed behind the building boards.
DOORS AND WINDOWS
Depending on the customer’s needs, we also use high-quality plastic, wood and aluminium wood/aluminium plastic doors and windows in our system.
The plastic doors and windows are made of high-quality German SCHÜCO profiles according to the product design by our supplier partner, with 3-layer glazing. Our system includes the SCHÜCO Living 82 profile system.
The wooden doors and windows are also manufactured for us by our supplier partner with 3 layers of thermal protection glazing, in excellent quality. In different colours and with different options for operation.
These types of doors and windows are included in our premium offer. The supplier manufactures plastic and aluminium wood/ aluminium plastic doors and windows for us.
Among our shading systems you can find all kinds of generally used shading solutions: louvres, jalousies, shutters, solar nets. These are available with manual, electric or even fully automatic operation.
The facade of the building reflects the zeitgeist. Facade thermal insulation
Different facade thermal insulation systems can be placed on the walls from the outside. At BERGER Házak Zrt., we most often use wood wool and EPS systems. Wood wool is a natural material which, in combination with plaster fibre building boards and cellulose thermal insulation, forms a vapour-technically open system, i.e. the walls made of it are able to release the absorbed vapour outwards from the building. This results in houses with extremely favourable building physics and biological properties, which allow for the creation of a unique living environment. The EPS system is used due to its high thermal insulation capacity and cost-effectiveness. With EPS systems, the insulation values typical of passive houses can be achieved even with a smaller cross section.
The plaster can be used to create a creative surface on the facade in almost unlimited variations, from completely smooth plaster to rough surfaces. An additional advantage of plaster over various decorative coverings is that it can be repainted at any time, so you can maintain a clean and modern surface on your the house.
When designing an exterior facade cladding, the choice of material is a key issue. The wooden cladding is also a decorative element suitable for covering the facade. The beauty of the wood panelling is inimitable, which undoubtedly gives the house a unique look.
With the help of the wall cladding panel, you have creative options when designing the facade cladding or creating interiors. In addition to the natural wood effect, it can also be ordered in modern colours or with stone surfaces. High-quality wall cladding panel is a construction product that can be used permanently in the form of a large board.
Wood has excellent thermal and acoustic insulation properties, so we can achieve highly favourable energy values with wood masonry. Another advantage is that the climate of the apartment is optimal, thanks to the fact that wood can absorb a high amount of vapour, and if the air is too dry, it “breathes” and releases the right amount of vapours from the walls into the air. The heat storage capacity of the walls of log houses is high, thus, in addition to the favourable heating costs in winter, it does not overheat in the summer months; not to mention that this covering is characterized by elegant and rustic appearance.
Quality sheet metal coverings and claddings can be used extremely widely in both monumental and modern environments. Due to the aesthetic and light machining of the sheet metal, it does not limit the designer’s imagination, even the most special architectural ideas can be realized with it. Furthermore, the quality sheet metal coating is long lasting and weather resistant.
